Android 8.0 Oreo is Google's latest mobile operating system announced in August 2017. The update is already available to download for Pixel and Nexus devices. The latest version has a number of improvements over previous Nougat ROM that makes users eager to update to this version. Although there are not many visual changes, you can see various under-the-hood changes which give overall new user experience. How to Install Android 8.0/8.1 Oreo Gapps
1. Firstly, flash Android 8.0/8.1 Oreo-based AOSP custom ROM on your device through recovery mode (TWRP preferred). Some of the popular custom ROMs are LineageOS 15, Paranoid Android, SlimROM, etc.
2. Once done, download appropriate Gapps .zip file from above links & save it to your device storage.
3. Boot your phone into TWRP recovery mode.
4. From recovery main menu, tap on the Install Button and locate the Android Oreo Gapps zip file.
5. Swipe to confirm the flash.
6. Now wipe cache and Dalvik cache.
